No Jesus

Georgia asks me multiple times a day to sing songs from three of her favorite movies. If she says, "Sing Ariel, Mom," that means Part of Your World from The Little Mermaid. "Sing Belle, Mom" is Beauty and the Beast and "Sing 'Rella, Mom" is A Dream is a Wish from Cinderella. I'm supposed to sing the songs and she sings along. She's really getting to know the words quite well.

Yesterday after about three or four rounds of Ariel, Belle and 'Rella I was getting a little sick of the princesses. I suggested Jesus Loves Me, knowing that they sing it in her Sunday school class. After just a few words, Georgia shouted, "Stop!" but I kept going. "Stop, Mom, stop!" So I stopped and just looked at her. "No Jesus, Mom." "You don't want me to sing Jesus Loves Me?" "No Jesus, Mom! No Jesus. Sing Ariel." So I sang Ariel. Again.

No offense, Jesus.

  1. That's strange... Madge doesn't usually want me to sing that one either! Wonder what the deal is!
